OEM vs After Market Cellphone Accessories

Our cell phone accessory deals and brands compete with OEM...

Oem vs. Aftermarket

You get what you pay for, right? Not always. In the world of cellphones and accessories, paying higher prices does not necessarily mean that you will receive better-quality items. Choosing between generic products and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products for your wireless phone can often be a difficult decision.
OEM accessories, as the name implies, are at least distributed, if not actually manufactured, by the company advertising them as OEM. In many cases these are quality products that compare well against their generic rivals. Build quality and refinement are usually the most prevalent benefits realized from purchasing an "original" accessory.
In some cases, however, the differences between generic and OEM accessories may be more significant. Original manufacturers often add special features to the accessories they sell, like automatic charging shutoff, which keeps a charger from overpowering a battery. Many reputable generic items will also offer these sorts of "luxury features," although that is not always the case. Some lower tier aftermarket companies may sacrifice features for price.
Generically-produced batteries present yet another possible drawback. While OEM batteries can sometimes cost twice as much, generic batteries often possess shorter battery lives.
Yet despite these drawbacks, generic accessories typically do offer a more reasonably-priced approach to buying the things you need for your wireless phone. Additionally, generic producers may supply items that OEMs may be reluctant to sell - such as data kits, light up batteries, and standard chargers -- and accessory selection is often vastly improved. Even if some generic products don't last as long as OEMs, the cheaper price may actually justify the purchase of some generic items. Moreover, some generically-produced products actually exceed OEM specs for quality and performance. So, in these instances at least, you can get more for less.
At store.yahoo.com/cell-phone-accessory-ixap, we only sell products that we believe to be of high quality. Because we believe that consumer knowledge is important in making a purchasing decision, our employees actually evaluate new products BEFORE releasing them for retail sale to our customers. If after all this you still cannot decide which accessory to buy, OEM or generic, contact us contact us and you will get an honest opinion.
